Step 6 of 8

Your trading platforms

The two places you can trade — and which one to use.

All steps

One account, two doors

You have one Pepperstone account, and two ways into it. TradingView is the chart, where the Navigator draws its lines and where you press Buy or Sell. Your trading terminal is the full platform behind it. A trade you place on one shows up on the other, because it’s the same account and the same money.

Your Pepperstone account

The money

  • One account, one balance
  • Every trade lands here, whichever door you came through

  • Your full trade history
  • Instrument details: leverage, swap, lot size
  • Your way in if TradingView is ever down
Two doors into one account: the same trades and the same money whichever one you open. Trade on TradingView, where the Navigator is; open the terminal when you need the details.

Which one, when?

  • Day to day, trade on TradingView. The Navigator’s lines and signals are there, so you trade what you see.
  • Open the terminal for the details. TradingView won’t show you an instrument’s leverage or swap before you trade, and it only keeps a day or two of history. The terminal shows all of that, plus a few extras like a trailing stop.
  • If TradingView is ever down, the terminal is your way in. You can place and manage trades there too.

Next, the part that matters most: Trading on TradingView, which starts by connecting your Pepperstone account to the chart. After that, your trading terminal, where we’ll sort out which one is yours and walk through it end to end.
