Step 5 of 7

Attach the Navigator to your chart

Add the Navigator to your TradingView chart, on computer or phone, and fix the common first-time hiccups.

All steps

Once we’ve granted your access (within a few minutes of subscribing), the Navigator appears in your TradingView indicator list, ready to attach to any chart in your plan.

Choose your instrument

  • Click Symbol Search at the top-left.
Click the symbol box at the top-left to open Symbol Search.
  • [Skip if you don’t have a Pepperstone account yet] Click the white Pepperstone button in the filter row, so you only see Pepperstone charts — the ones you can actually trade on.
Symbol Search with the Pepperstone filter on.
  • A chart from another source will display fine, but its Buy and Sell buttons won’t work. Stick to the Pepperstone charts.

Set your timeframe

  • Click ‘Chart interval’ to choose from different timeframes.
Click the Chart interval arrow to pick a timeframe.
  • Click the star next to the timeframes you use often, and they’ll sit in the top panel for one-click access.
Click the star to add a timeframe to your favourites.

Attach the indicator

  • Click Indicators, metrics, and strategies in the top panel.
Click Indicators in the top panel.
  • Click on the Invite-only tab on the left and left click on the RHO Navigator [your market].
Open the Invite-only tab and pick the RHO Navigator for your market.
  • It takes 10 to 20 seconds to load — you’ll see three dots at the top-left while it works.
The three dots at the top-left mean the Navigator is still loading.
  • Once the indicator has finished loading, you should see the channel lines and labels appear, like this.
The Navigator fully loaded — channel lines, labels and the trend panel.
  • If you see labels but no channel lines (like the image below), scroll the chart to the left, or zoom out (hold Ctrl and scroll back on your mouse). The lines only draw once the channel’s starting point is on screen — a TradingView quirk, not a fault.
Labels show but no channel lines yet — scroll left or zoom out to bring the channel's start into view.

Do the same on your phone (Optional)

  • Open the TradingView app and open a chart. (If you haven’t set up the app and connected it to Pepperstone yet, do that first — it’s at the end of Step 4.)
  • Click Indicators, then Invite-Only and RHO Navigator [your market].
  • The channel lines usually won’t show at first — that’s normal. They only draw once the channel’s starting point is on screen, so swipe the chart to the right, or zoom out, until the lines appear.
Labels and the trend panel show, but no channel lines yet — swipe right or zoom out to bring the channel's start into view and the lines will draw.
  • Pinch the chart or the price scale with two fingers to resize.
  • If the panels are in the way, open the indicator’s settings, untick the two panel boxes, and tap OK. It takes about 10 seconds for the panels to disappear.

Fix the common hiccups

  • An exclamation mark on the indicator. The chart is a market that isn’t in your plan. Switch to one of your markets.
The exclamation mark means the chart is a market your plan doesn't cover — here, an HK plan on a US chart. Switch to one of your markets.
  • Update the indicator whenever there’s an update. Hover over the indicator’s name on the chart and click Update if it appears. No update button usually means you’re already on the latest — to be certain, remove the indicator and attach it again.
When you hover over the indicator's name, an update icon appears next to it — click it to update.
